The Robertson Hotel Wedding of Eve & Brock
Â
Eve & Brock met online, and Brock messaged Eve four days in a row, and she hadn’t replied because Eve was out camping with no reception. The second Eve returned, she opened her DMs and responded to Brock, and he did too. They talked about themselves and got to know each other before deciding to meet up.
Brock met Eve at the train station (before she had her licence), and they spent the day at the park. They bought Maccas, talked about who they are and what they enjoy and went for a beautiful walk around god knows where (Brock was a local, and to this day, Eve has no idea where they were). Brock was so kind but funny and made fun of Eve when she dropped her food by dropping his too.
Their first proper date was a movie night out (they watched Tarzan), and Eve stayed the night because Brock didn’t want Eve to catch the train. Shortly after that, Brock moved to his dad’s; Eve would go out almost three times a week to see Brock and spend much of their free time together. Their date nights were always the movies; after a year of dating, Brock asked Eve to be his girlfriend (and to move to QLD with him).

Groom Preparation at The Robertson Hotel Wedding Executive Suite

Eve & Brock went out for dinner one night, which was no different from their usual date nights, and they talked about everything they wanted to do together in their lives. Then afterwards, Eve & Brock drove to a nearby lighthouse, no different than usual, where they’d look at the lights hitting the water.
Brock put his arms around Eve and pulled out a ring, asking Eve to marry him. All Eve could say was, “Are you serious” and “you’re pulling my leg”!?
Growing up, Eve had seen these over-elaborate proposals that you’d see coming from a mile away. Eve wasn’t expecting it at all. She found out later that night Brock had bought the ring the day before and was going to plan something big, but he couldn’t wait.
Bride Preparation at The Robertson Hotel Wedding Bridal Lounge

The Colour theme is Forest Green and blush champagne. The theme itself is a combo between a rustic and garden wedding. They used heavy greenery, lots of candles, and mirror signs.
Garden Ceremony at The Robertson Hotel Wedding Venue

Eve & Brock were most looking forward to seeing each other from down the aisle, being able to say their “I do’s” and their secret vows. They also looked forward to getting a chance alone, taking it all in.
Bridal Party Portraits at The Robertson Hotel

The Robertson Hotel is surrounded by dense woodlands and gardens, which makes capturing couple portraits a dream. There is also a private rail line just outside the venue, which can make for an ideal photo location with a vanishing point if the rail line isn’t in use.

Eve & Brock’s Top tips for The Robertson Hotel Wedding
Start organising early; the less you have to do beforehand, the better. Don’t DIY everything, it’s great to save a few costs here and there, but it’s more work you have to do. Get your partner involved! Brock had so many unique ideas for what we should do, making the day that much more exciting. Put your wants/needs first; it’s your day, so have who you want there, do what you want, and don’t be scared to say no.
